Promoted by eminent educationist-philanthropist Dr. Satyabrata Minaketan under the banner of ODM Education Group, ODM Business School, Bhubaneswar (OBS, formerly Astral Institute of Management Studies) is a premier business school in Odisha that offers professional certification courses and value added courses along with its flagship two-year full-time business management degree (PGDM) with dual specialisation.

Campus

OBS’ state-of-the-art campus hosts world-class facilities for academics, sports and co-curricular education. The campus houses 15 ICT-enabled classrooms equipped with the latest teaching-learning tools such as smart boards, projectors, slide viewers, online drawing board, microphones, digital podiums, etc. The digital library provides students access to a wide range of digital books, magazines and journals that help enrich their knowledge. 

The campus also houses a canteen that serves nutritious, hygienically prepared meals to the students and separate hostels for boys and girls with spacious, airy and well-furnished rooms. Academics

OBS offers the two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Management programme (equivalent to MBA) approved by AICTE, Ministry of Education, Government of India. The PGDM program covers core and specialisation courses across IT, Marketing, HR, Finance and Port Shipping and Logistics. 

The B-School also conducts summer internship, in partnership with reputed companies, at the end of the first year. Besides, OBS has also introduced professional certification courses, value added courses, and upGrad Campus Certification Program in Digital Marketing for its students. 

OBS’ Centre for Student Development (CSD) was conceptualised to amplify students’ personal and professional growth. The centre grooms and prepares students for the highly demanding 21st century workplace and enables them to fulfill their career goals with well structured career planning and development roadmap.

Mentoring is an integral component of the learning process at OBS. The mentor acts as a role model/guide/coach and helps students to chalk out the right career path. The mentoring process at OBS is made more effective through inclusion of alumni and corporate guides along with the faculty trainers.

The candidate must have a career with at least 55% marks in aggregate and should have a valid score card of any one of the entrance tests (CAT/XAT/MAT/ATMA/ OJEE).
